Serena is one of Ellen Wille's most striking long styles - a tumbling mid-back wave with beautiful movement and weight that lifts off the shoulders naturally as you move. The waves are pre-set so there is no styling required after washing, but because the fibre is heat-friendly you can use a low-heat tool to tighten the curl, straighten sections or add volume at the root if you want to personalise the look.
The monofilament crown creates a realistic scalp-like appearance at the parting area, and the extended lace front reaches from ear to ear for a completely flat, undetectable hairline across the full front of the style.

Heat friendly synthetic fibre can be styled using heated tools - flat irons, curling wands and diffusers - giving you the flexibility to change your look without the upkeep of human hair. Keep tools set to a low heat, no higher than 130°C, and work through the hair in small sections.
Once the hair cools it holds its new shape, so a curl or wave will last throughout the day. Between washes the fibre returns to its original style on its own - no restyling needed. It won't take colour or permanent treatments, but for everyday versatility it sits comfortably between standard synthetic and human hair.
Wig Cap Construction
Serena uses a wefted cap with a monofilament crown and extended ear-to-ear lace front - a well-balanced construction for a longer style. The wefted sides and back allow air to circulate freely against the scalp throughout the day, which is particularly important in a longer, fuller style where heat can build more easily than in a short wig.
The monofilament crown means the hair in the parting and crown area is individually hand-knotted to a sheer mesh base, creating a scalp-like appearance and allowing the parting to be moved. This is a monofilament crown rather than a full monofilament top - the natural appearance is concentrated at the crown where it is most visible and most needed.
The extended lace front sits flat against the forehead from ear to ear with no visible edge. It is ready to wear without tape or adhesive, though both can be used if preferred. Velvet-lined ear tabs, ultra-thin nape adjusters and stretch material throughout the cap base provide a comfortable, secure fit across the petite to average size range.

- Detangle gently using a wide-tooth comb or metal-pinned wig brush, working from ends upward
- Wash with synthetic wig shampoo and conditioner only

When first receiving your wig in the post, it's normal to feel a little
overwhelmed. Wearing a wig maybe something completely new to you,
however, there's no need to worry. At Joseph’s Wigs, we completely
understand your confusion and love to help wig wearers feel at ease with
the whole process, no matter what stage of the journey you're at.

Washing a wig plays a key role in wig maintenance
to ensure long-lasting quality and to maintain its initial shine. Using
a wig washing kit, shampoo and condition the wig thoroughly, rinse the
wig with clean water after each step. Then, once cleaned, place the wig
onto a styling head (which you can anchor down using a suction wig clamp
holder) and begin brushing the wig gently from the ends of the hair to
the crown. Finally, leave the wig to dry and it’ll begin to adopt its
natural style again.

The price of a wig can range anywhere between £65.00 - £3,000.00,
depending on whether you choose to buy a human hair wig or synthetic
wig. If you're looking for a longer-lasting wig solution, ideal for
medical reasons, then we would suggest investing in a human hair wig for
the most natural and comfortable look possible. However, if you're
looking for a temporary wig to try new styles, for example, then opt for
a synthetic wig that's lower in cost.
Choosing the right wig size for you will depend on your head

Synthetic wigs are made with fibre strands to simulate the natural
