Wig Caps – Are They Needed?
Often you may hear that wig caps are absolutely necessary however we believe it depends on what makes you feel most comfortable. They can add to the security of your wig and eliminate loose ends from showing, ideal for those who have hair underneath, however, they can make you feel hotter - the choice is yours.
If you’d like to wear a wig cap or see how they feel on you, shop our wig caps in packs of 2.
Specialised Human Hair & Synthetic Wig Styling Products
When styling, caring and washing your wig, use products specifically made for either human hair or synthetic wigs. For human hair wigs, specialist wig products are key to maintaining their initial style, softness, quality and naturalness. Use a shampoo that’s sulphate free to avoid stripping the colour off the wig. For synthetic wigs, use fibre wig care products that help to maximise longevity and maintain the wigs colour, style and hold.

Use the Right Wig Brush
For synthetic wigs use a wire wig brush that’s designed specifically for acrylic fibre strands and avoid using a normal brush. For human hair wigs use any normal brush that you’d use for normal hair and avoid using wire brushes as these can damage the wig.
Minimise Heat Used on Your Wig
On the whole, aim to use minimal amounts of heat on your wigs. Heat-friendly wigs or human hair wigs are more durable to heat whereas synthetic wigs simply cannot be styled using heat, whatsoever. If heat is used the fibre strands can either melt or become extremely damaged.
Using Heated Tools to Style Your Human Hair or Heat-Friendly Wig – Top Tip!
If you can use heated tools on your wig, try our top tip: turn the tools on and let them heat up to their maximum heat, then turn the tools off at the plug and style your wig as the tools cool down. This way you’re not applying the heat at its hottest and you avoid damaging your wig.
Measure Your Head for a Wig for a Comfortable Fit
Comfort and security play a key role in helping you feel confident and at your best when wearing your wig. Therefore, we recommend measuring your head for a wig at the purchase stage to ensure you are buying the correct size wig. This helps to achieve a look that’s comfortable, secure and totally natural.
